PURE ARONIA JUICE

An orchard, which is situated at a specific micro location in the western Slavonia region, has been selected for aronia cultivation. It is used solely for the production of our PREMIUM pure aronia juice. With fertile soil and a large number of sunny days, late harvesting is the norm, which is 20 days later than the usual schedule for picking. The result is an increased content of sugar, which gives a unique fuller flavour and richer composition.

The product is made in a limited series and it is based exclusively on the capacity of the aforementioned orchard, and therefore the total quantity may vary from year to year. Due to the limited number of produce, the product may not be available year-round.

ARONIA

Aronia (aronia melanocarpa) came to Europe from the east coast of North America. Initially, it was grown only for aesthetic and decorative purposes. Aronia berries are dark purple in colour, with a sour and lingering taste. The berries ripen in early September and remain on the shrubs until November. The dark green leaves of aronia turn into an astonishing red colour in autumn, creating a beautiful sight. Even more beautiful are its delicate white flowers which become truly magnificent in May, when the aronia shrubs blossom.
Various studies show that aronia is rich in antioxidants that prevent the oxidation of cells by free radicals. In 100 g of aronia, about 1.480 mg of anthocyanins and 1.752 mg of polyphenols were found. Anthocyanin gives that deep purple colour to the berries. Ripened aronia berries contain large amounts of biophenols, tannins, flavonoids and anthocyanins.
According to research on the effects of antioxidants (ORAC), aronia has one of the highest values ever recorded – 16.062 µmol / 100 g. When comparing, the value of other fruits is as follows: blueberries 6.552 µmol; plums 6.259 µmol; figs 3.383 µmol; grapes 1.260 µmol; lemon 1.225 µmol; oranges 984 µmol.
Aronia is called the healthiest plant in the world and is one of the most powerful antioxidants today. Aronia contains over 300 biologically active compounds and is rich in vitamins and minerals.
