ROSE HIP

Rose Hip (Rosa canina) – a gentle gift of nature, known for its bright red fruits that are a natural source of vitamin C. Native to Europe, Western Asia, and Northwestern Africa, rose hip has been used for centuries in culinary arts and folk traditions. Its fruits are rich in flavonoids and other plant compounds, and their delicate sweet-tart flavor makes them irresistible.

Rose hip’s versatility makes it a popular ingredient in teas, jams, syrups, and other culinary delights.

ROSE HIP

One of the most beautiful signs of the coming summer is the view of the rose hip beginning to bloom. The flowers are usually pale pink, but may vary between deep pink and white, 4 to 6 centimetres in diameter with five petals and oval-shaped, red-orange in colour and 1.5 to 2 centimetres tall. Rose hip fruit is the oval portion of the pink flower that is located below the petals.

Rose hip is the fruit of the plant that emerges in the autumn and late summer after the plant has been pollinated. When the bud falls, the fruit of the plant appears which can be red, purple, orange or black.

ACEROLA

Acerola (Malpighia emarginata) – an exotic star of tropical regions, known as one of the richest natural sources of vitamin C. Native to the Caribbean, Central, and South America, acerola delights with its richness in plant compounds such as flavonoids and carotenoids.

The bright red berries of acerola ripen quickly and offer a refreshing, tangy-sweet flavor reminiscent of lime. Its resilience to tropical conditions and the ability to produce three harvests per year make it a true treasure of nature.
